ROUTE CREATED BY BIKE ZONE

The SBT is a permanent circular cycling route located primarily within the territory of San Severino Marche, one of the largest in the Marche region. It is suitable for mountain bikes, gravel bikes, or e-mountain bikes with spare batteries or chargers. It's important to verify that the charging point at Cantuccio di Elcito is open. The route begins in the Settempeda district, in front of the hospital, where you can park and find bars, grocery stores, and restaurants to stock up before starting or take a break upon your return. During the route, you'll pass through various picturesque locations like Granali, Pitino, Monticole, Serralta, Aliforni, each with its own points of interest. The route includes challenging ascents, thrilling descents, and spectacular views, such as Lake Castreccioni and the Apennine Mountains up to Gran Sasso. Along the way, there are also opportunities to replenish and refuel, such as in Corsciano and Elcito.

The route continues through a natural reserve of ancient beech trees, the Canfaito Reserve, which is particularly enchanting in the autumn. Additionally, there are challenging trail sections, like the "Mucca Trail," adding an element of fun to the route. During the descent, you'll pass through the Sasso Forato and near the Roti Abbey. The final part of the route involves one last ascent to the meadows of Gagliole and Mount Lavacelli, followed by a descent to San Severino Marche. The route also offers the opportunity to admire the wind turbines on Mount d'Aria and explore the Buca del Terremoto, a striking rock formation. The journey concludes in the beautiful elliptical square of San Severino Marche, a renowned symbol of the town and one of Italy's most beautiful places.
