A mixed cycling route... discovering the Sibillini Mountains, its beautiful forests and breathtaking views.
The advice is to tackle it at a leisurely pace so as to enjoy the beautiful ancient villages and various refuges along the route. We start out from beautiful Sarnano, a small ancient village in the Marche region at the foot of the Sibillini Mountains where it seems as if time has stood still. Near the historic centre of Sarnano are three evocative waterfalls connected by an easy route of about 6 km. Here our bike itinerary develops precisely from the centre of Sarnano to take the path that will lead us to the Garulla Refuge, located at the foot of Mount Amandola as well as being a stage of the Great Sibillini Ring. At that point, our bike route enters one of the most beautiful beech forests on Monte Amandola and we continue until we reach Passo Ventoso, where we will be enchanted by the beautiful mountain and hill panorama until we can see the sea in the distance. Our excursion continues until we reach Bolognola, a point of refreshment and rest. After refreshments, we set off for the Maddalena Pass, with a descent towards Sassotetto and Sarnano, our starting point and arrival point for this wonderful cycling excursion.
