The Abbey of Chiaravalle di Fiastra is situated in the territory of Tolentino, more precisely in the Nature Reserve of the same name, created to protect the territories that the Cistercians had administered in the past. The main church, in Romanesque-Gothic style, the interiors and the lighting system make it one of the most mystical environments of the whole Marche region. The Cistercians respected the architectural rules for church construction by orienting the Church east and by adding elements such as the rose window with 8 petals (symbol of the infinity of God) and the 12 columns of the three naves (homage to the Apostles). In the 15th century, the Church was administered by the Jesuit Fathers, then it became the property of the Giustiniani Bandini family in 1773, who financed the construction of a palace and in 1918 bequeathed the property to the Foundation of the same name.
