At the foot of the Rocca, in Via XX Settembre, you can admire one of the most interesting buildings in the Macerata area. We are talking about the Autopalace, a monument built in 1912 by engineer Gaetano Caradonna divided on two floors, one used as car parking and the other as a terrace. Caradonna & Bettucci, the public transport company who serviced Mogliano, Pausula and Macerata, needed a space to park their vehicles. The local administration granted its construction, in exchange for the fulfillment of the main postal services. Built on a rectangular plan, the offices are located on the upper floor. Although the structure is a historical symbol of the development of public transport in the region, today it has been reinterpreted as a public hall. It is appreciated for its Art Nouveau facade.
